Each day, the sun arouses
In me the living moment;
And daily the sun descends
Into a marvelous wonder.
Emboldened by the sun’s arrival,
I venture forth to face my wage,
Followed down my lively path
By her bright and fair illumination.
Briefly purchased, and too soon
The precious day is done:
Another leaf torn from the pages
Of my unknowable, unfinished book.
